SONG OF THE DAY: Let The Dollar Circulate

metaphysical pyramids
built upon other people’s heads
you never even see much less
acknowledge – economic
liberation theory
is built upon social scientific fallacies
mythological meritocracies
and all these advertising psychologies
are actual neurology connected to biology
like mushroom tendrils beneath the surface
of what the fuck we think we know

hoping the transformations
we may or may not be seeing
continue spreading beneath the surface
and don’t get exposed to above ground
established political pesticides
which train the vine to grow along
the sides of brick institutions which
already existed – postcard picture perfect
becoming part of the establishment
and pretending reform happened
that feral growth was allowed to blossom
rather than transplanted into those
same old English gardens
like we’ve been doing for too
many centuries to keep making
marks on the wall about

SONG OF THE DAY: Jailbreak the Tesla

Jailbreaking an army of cybertrucks to drive into the wireless zones of West Virginia, to leave there to rust. Code name Teflon Rust, working with crow allies to combat starling drones manufactured since at least 1983. There is no technological solution to being human.

SONG OF THE DAY: Baby Makin' Beats

rainy sunday bumpin beats
drankin corny ass coffee w/the hazlenut drip
thinkin about how I miss the rain on the tin roof
and the leak on the front porch
but it's alright
the laundry room light went out
in this moldy basement apartment
and I ain't gonna bother the landlord to fix it
bc they assholes anyways

everybody is strugglin
everybody feels doomed
everybody is one tragedy away from contemplating suicide
to a deeper level than they'd publicly admit
none of us alone right now
though the ways we been trained to connect
make us feel more disconnected than ever
that's by design
them devils know the divide & conquer trick
and it's multiple forces of devils using it
devils every goddamned where

but so is good
shit's embedded in our heart
just gotta pay attention to it
start calculating more heart math
listen to the rain
put a pen in your hand and write shit down
scribble words pictures truths
don't share it where these devils can see it
with their self-ordained all-seeing eyes
which ain't really everywhere

pass notes
we're all strugglin
we all feel doomed
that's by design
so let's pass notes
draw up something new
for after this falls down
they say this way is cancelled
we gonna hit the end
it's gone too far and gotten too old
I say fuck it
let's make a new baby
and keep growing
like mycelium not economy
keep it underground
connecting tendrils of real life people
who help each other feel safe
to admit all the shit troubling us all
to one degree
or another

SONG OF THE DAY: Slow Spinnin'

World still spinning slow, at same pace as ever through same space as ever, despite the malcontent machinery manufacturing mad anxiety that we’re gonna walk into a giant blank wall marked END TIMES GAME OVER any year now. Is the cataclysmic change of climate true? Sure. But lolol you ain’t dismantled the device in your hands have you? Any time shit falls apart, part of it grows back together – that’s the natural way of things. Scars get left, sometimes things get wiped out, but people ain’t gonna stop scrabbling across the surface of this Earth any time soon, albeit the herd may get thinned. Mushroom spores will scatter, the poison clouds will eventually dissipate, and sure it takes many half-lives for some of our poison to decay, many of us are already living half-lives ourselves, so maybe shit needs to fall apart and get pieced back together anyways. Unfortunately, people tend to be complacent, and it takes trauma to wake us up at times. Nonetheless, it’s Friday, it’s chill outside (at least where I am), so walk around outside (if you are able) and scatter some metaphysical spores amongst the industrial detritus of our these days American lives.

SONG OF THE DAY: Long Live Palestine

-->

Palestine has an active hip hop movement, and in fact hip hop has been part and parcel of Palestinian resistance for a while. My eldest offspring keeps me posted on this shit, and though this Lowkey song is known on the internet, apparently the version featuring DAM and other Palestinian artists was bigger for the people, because despite blockades and lack of movement for people to and from Palestine, there was a performance of this song where the people physically in Palestine performed on a stage there, with those outside as part of the worldwide diaspora. As fucked up as the internet is, as a whole, it still has those little glimmers of connecting us. In fact, I’d say that’s why the internet got fucked up, because it did connect people, outside of the mainstream, so the mainstream worked to re-corral everything. Whereas everybody had their own fucked up little websites back in the day, everything is filtered through search engine and social media algorithms now, and you and I as regular people don’t have the same access to how the algorithm works as those with the money to gain access. Internet is still a mycelium though, not a machine, and though the algorithms are worked, that shit breaks eventually. The underground tendrils will always remain once the superficial layer up top is scraped away.

SONG OF THE DAY: tr0gl0dYt3

caveman molecules activated
southern humidity acclimated
most days in goodwill button-up and goddamn I hate it
was born to barefoot in woods or walking 7 miles through alien neighborhoods
full of cousins I ain’t met yet so of course it’s all ways all good
all this progress all the technological advance
and yet hearts are more clogged than ever
too much manufactured saturated facts
fractured from what’s real
fuck it

I remedy with each step I take each day I’m still breathing
purify the enculturated poisons with a mushroom’s persistence
pushing my head through the muck
unfuck it
create
grow
be good
which is never as hard
as it is made out to be

caveman molecules wasn’t ignorant
same molecular structure
same energies negative and positive spinning around
in the same chaotic spirals
as the beginning of time
each day I’m just trying
to find
peace
