NFL WEEK 7: AFC South & East teams

There were six division uncovered in this second cycle, but the remaining NFC divisions (East and North) would out-won/loss any geographically connected combo in the AFC. Within that conference, either the South/East combo or South/West combo would’ve had equal records, but I chose to go with East with South, as my own little personal reward for the AFC West, which went 3-1 last weekend, and was undefeated against non-itself competition, including two crushing defeats of the NFC East. So let us take a little meander through the professional football divisions that are the American Football Conference (THROWBACK JERSEYS! 50 YEARS! AL DAVIS!) East division and South division...

#1: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (5-0, 5th overall) - Man, as much as I hate the guy, Peyton Manning is probably like the best QB of my adult life, which sucks to say because he's annoying as fuck. The thing is, it's not even like he's a disingenuous guy or straight up asshole or anything, but it's 2009 and hip hop has tinged the world to where even a Scandinavian kid in the far remote corners of nowhere inside a yurt made of reindeer pelts and woolly mammoth bones flashes a WestSide hand gang sign at you. But not Peyton. That dude is whiter than the whitest white that was ever whited, and then wiped with a bleach water rag. If this was still the '70s, and Peyton rocked a fu manchu with some shaggy feathered hair, and did everything else exactly the same as he does now, he'd be one of those all-time gamers, a guy obscure indy rappers would use as their stage name, "Peyton Manning expanding your horizons with lyricism invisioned, bending metaphors and similes through a prism with precision...” and so on, eventually paying Buckshot to be a featured artist on a song.

#2: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (4-2, 7th overall) - Tom Brady is back because he went wild in the snowdrifts of Foxboro last weekend. Whatever man. With that veteran team, they’re bound to put it together and bust up some hapless opponent with high school recklessness at some point or another. But also, with that old team, half the defense shuffled around, they’re not gonna put it together long enough to make a run in the playoffs. The window may not be closing on Tom Brady, per se, but it could be about time to shift into his Joe Montana in Kansas City phase, except he’ll have his swan song in New England still because those fucks would never let Tom Brady go. Those guys are gonna look back fondly on three Super Bowl runs, and curse that damn David Tyree ruining their best run for that ultimate dynasty marker of a fourth ring in a time cluster along the NFL history chart.

#3: MIAMI DOLPHINS (2-3, 17th overall) - You know, it seems with the OMG! WILDCAT OFFENSE!-a-mania running wild in the NFL coaching ranks, that somebody might try to do something a little more than just having a RB catch the snap and take off while the QB lines up in the slot and throws a weak ass block. Miami does though, and it’s funny how sometimes, like last week against the Jets, you can see how confusing some simple shit like the Wildcat can be for overloaded modern defenses that know 7000 things about every play, but it’s still all limited by a narrow scope. “Pro style” offense is often used, to disparage guys who aren’t next level enough. But man, I went to a high school game last weekend with my boy Mike Gee, and he was telling me about some off-the-wall shit some small ass high schools do, like old school Four Horsemen shit but on crack. I say the NFL needs more gimmick offenses, not less. And if your gimmick runs cold, switch the gimmick. Also, Ronnie Brown, for a half-crippled motherfucker who struggles to get five yards on a breakaway run sometimes, is a fantasy football all-star, due to the aforementioned Wildcatting he ringleads, for a couple years now.

#4: HOUSTON TEXANS (3-3, 19th overall) - What a confusing team. They might score 42 points this week, then give up 250 yards rushing next week. Or they might even do both. What they need to do is change their team colors though. Nothing successful will come from that, ever. It’s a shame they had to clothe their team during post-9/11 American fervor.

#5: NEW YORK JETS (3-3, 20th overall) - Rex Ryan’s swagger has lost some pop, no? And Mark Sanchez suddenly seems a fraud after he was tossing picks to the Bills last week like he was Neil O’Donnell in the Super Bowl and the Mafia had paid him to make sure the Cowboys would win.

#6: JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (3-3, 22nd overall) - Jack Del Rio is a cockroach of a coach, holding strong. Half the team arrested in the past two years, in a small-sized city with a closeted underlying racist tendency? No problem. Mediocrity personified on the football field? No problem. Jack Del Rio survives. Shit, if he throws in an upset of the Colts and the Jags still have a shot at a wild card berth in the playoffs the last week of the season, he might even get an extension. Side note: how the fuck have the Jaguars been so adept at finding black dudes with really generic names in their short franchise history? Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith, Matt Jones (he might be white, or at least yellowboned), Mike Sims-Walker... it’s their drafting using a craigslist response spambot name generator.

#7: BUFFALO BILLS (2-4, 24th overall) - The Bills pull off the upset in the Meadowlands in the longest, most uninteresting to me game ever played as far back as my brain can remember (which isn’t far, to be honest), and substitute QB plays better than starting QB, and T.O. now doesn’t get traded before NFL trade deadline, and we can watch the wheels come off this thing like we were expecting. Snow don’t kill cancer.

#8: TENNESSEE TITANS (0-6, 30th overall) - Oh man, poor Jeff Fisher. He’s lucky Lane Kiffin is coach of the Volunteers to keep most hardcore Tennessee football fans properly distracted at least until mid-December, when they all turn their heads and go, “Wait... what?” LenDale White should start drinking tequila again, and the Redskins should just give them Albert Haynesworth back for a few weeks, and let’s see if that makes a difference. Also, if you run a small yet steady roofing company, and you are letting the work crew be run by a guy who looks like an allegedly recovered crackhead, bound for relapse at any point, like Kerry Collins, and your man-in-line to replace him is a pudgy-headed serial raping looking dude like Vince Young, well, you’ve already lost control of this thing. You might as well start over.

S14: Worst College Football Teams

And of course I will revisit the worst teams in the college football worlds again this week, as what else am I going to do with my life? Actually go out and make money? Hahaha, you fool. The world is ending; why bother? Once again, in case this is your first accidental perusal of this, criteria is 0 wins (until we don’t have 14 winless teams at least), with average margin of defeat breaking the ties, and then my personal preference being the second tiebreaker should it come down to that. And away we go...

#1: TEXAS COLLEGE STEERS (0-7, 52.286 avg. margin of defeat, #1 last week) - Texas College had their second-highest offensive output of the year last weekend at Langston, leading to a semi-respectable 53 to 20 loss. It seems apparent from their team nickname that this is some sort of joke team meant to be the Hell version of the Texas Longhorns team for kids who can’t stop being criminals long enough to get to Austin. Of course, that would mean this team might be halfway decent, I guess. It is too bad the NAIA doesn’t have a reverse postseason tournament as well for the dregs of their football league to try and win one to close out the season with. And whatever team lost the tournament, they’d just make them wreck the airplane on the way home, thus giving the school a solid reason to dissolve the football program. Plus, they could make an ESPN special about it in ten years.

#2: BECKER HAWKS (0-7, 42.429 avg. margin of defeat, #3 last week) - Yes indeed anonymous blog commenter from last week, Becker’s 68 to 6 home loss to SUNY-Maritime was good enough to move them up a spot. The sad thing about their 6 points is it was on a sloppy seconds touchdown run with less than two minutes left in the game. Poor poor Becker Hawks.

#3: ROCKFORD REGENTS (0-6, 39.500 avg. margin of defeat, #2 last week) - The Regents parlayed a sorta respectable 40 to 14 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran into moving down this list of football scrubs this week, if only one spot. It can only get better for you boys.

#4: NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (0-6, 37.500 avg. margin of victory, #8 last week) - Their 39 to 0 home loss to Wesley was mentioned in yesterday’s best teams list, and allowed the Builders to bust a move halfway up the college football shit list.

#5: NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS COWBOYS (0-8, 36.125 avg. margin of defeat, #7 last week) - Those gambling Cowboys of Las Vegas, Nevada, played one of their closest games of the year, only losing to Colorado State-Pueblo, 35 to 7. Only three weeks left for one of NCAA Division II’s worst teams.

#6: SOUTHERN VIRGINIA KNIGHTS (0-6, 34.833 avg. margin of defeat, #10 last week) - I am getting conflicting reports, as one place I just read is claiming Southern Virginia is actually 1-6, as the NAIA team rolls into it’s upcoming road trip to Football Championship Sub-division team (okay okay, Division I-AA) Gardner-Webb. But everywhere else says they are 0-6, meaning they probably beat somebody that doesn’t count, like a Canadian football club or a soccer team or something. A plus is the rest of the season, they are apparently on the road, leading up to that last week showdown against Newport News Apprentice School.

#7: DANA VIKINGS (0-7, 34.000 avg. margin of defeat, #9 last week) - Word ‘em up Dana Vikings, only losing to Peru State 38 to 20 at home last weekend. Keep fighting baby, and you’ll get a W yet.

#8: ANNA MARIA AMCATS (0-7, 33.571 avg. margin of defeat, #4 last week) - It is still the Cats first ever season of college football, and last weekend they took on another first-year team, also from NCAA Division III, in Castleton, who they lost to the first week... well first game ever for both teams, 42 to 28. This past week, at home, in Paxton, Massachusetts, they dropped a heartbreaker againt to Castleton, but only 24 to 21, giving them hope, and moving them to a more respectable spot on the shit list. Also, and I would assume this is related to my blog as I like to think I’m the center of the universe, the Helmet Project website that I jack these helmet images from (all credit due to that dude though, plus Allah) just got the real helmet for the Anna Maria College football team this past week, probably because some small school know-it-all was pissed I secretly replaced their actual helmet with one for some unsuccessful pro league team from Chicago in the ‘70s.

#9: KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN KNIGHTS (0-7, 33.571 avg. margin of defeat, #13 last week) - Onward Christian soldiers, after your 45 to 10 loss last weekend to Shorter, which was a funeral home back in my hometown. I would expect a floral arrangement with a plastic telephone saying “JESUS CALLED” might be appropriate.

#10: MARANATHA BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE CRUSADERS (0-6, 33.000 avg. margin of defeat, #11 last week) - Last week, this Division III team only lost 32 to 6 to Benedictine University. Each week, they seem to shave it down a little more, meaning their last game of the year against Wisconsin Lutheran, they might only lose by like 14 points.

#11: CULVER-STOCKTON WILDCATS (0-6, 33.000 avg. margin of defeat, unranked last week) - On the weakness of their NAIA-affiliated 67 to 10 loss to Lindenwood at home last week, the mighty Wildcats of Culver-Stockton College crack the college football shit list. I’m sure Fayette, Missouri, is proud.

#12: IDAHO STATE BENGALS (0-7, 32.571 avg. margin of victory, #12 last week) - The highest profile team on this list (by level of competition at least) holds steady it’s spot on the shit list following their 30 to 7 loss to Northern Colorado. Oddly enough, in the past week, the school gave head football coach John Zamberlin a two-year extension to his contract.

#13: TRINITY INTERNATIONAL TROJANS (0-8, 32.500 avg. margin of defeat, unranked last week) - When you think Trojan football, most of America thinks of the rock solid USC team comprised of future first-rounders and suntanned football gods. But in Deefield, Illinois, they think of those loveable losing Trinity International University Trojans, getting steamrolled through the bottom of the NAIA. Last week was their worst loss of the year thus far, a 63 to 7 piledriving against St. Francis in Indiana.

#14: WEST GEORGIA WOLVES (0-7, 32.429 avg. margin of defeat, unranked last week) - Oh poor West Georgia. It just can’t win, literally and metaphorically. It scored a season-high 30 points last week against Arkansas Tech. Only problem was it also gave up a season-high 62 points. But even greater than all that is the fact that the Arkansas Tech football team moniker is Wonder Boys.
Gone From This List From Last Week: Hiram College Terriers (only lost to Earlham, 10 to 7), Lawrence Vikings (beat Knox College at home in Appleton, Wisconsin, 17 to 13), and Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs (only lost to Central Oklahoma, 41 to 23, which barely got them out the shit list by average margin of defeat).

S14: Best College Football Teams

Well, let us roll through the best college football teams in the United States of the Football for this week. I had originally only planned to do it every other week or so, but really, life is not so much slow as painfully costly with little cash flow to cover the charges, so I like to bury my head in the sands of internet sports dorkery. Again, the method of ranking is simple - 0 losses (at this point at least), with ties broken by highest average margin of victory, and in the rare case of necessity, the second tiebreaker is just my very personal preference.

#1: SIOUX FALLS COUGARS (7-0, 47.000 avg. margin of victory, #1 last week) - Well, the University of Sioux Falls Cougars only won by a 28 to 13 score this past weekend, but instead of their usual NAIA competition, they whooped up on a NCAA Football Championship Sub-division North Dakota team, on the road to boot. It was a huge win, leaving the regular season closing game at Morningside in four weeks as their biggest obstacle left towards perfection going into the NAIA playoffs.

#2: MORNINGSIDE MUSTANGS (6-0, 45.333 avg. margin of victory, #2 last week) - The NAIA league's #5 ranked team stomped Concordia 58 to 7 at home. They haven't given up more than a touchdown defensively since their first game of the year. It makes me wish the NAIA football championship was a smorgasbord of athletic activity like their basketball tournament is, because it'd be fun to go to some mid-sized midwestern city in some run-down former NFL stadium and watch two days of small college, God-fearing, over-sized white dudes and small town brothers kick ass on their small stage. I bet it would involve a lot of Miller High Life Light drinking, at least on my part, probably with tomato juice involved as well.

#3: LINDENWOOD LIONS (7-0, 40.000 avg. margin of victory, #5 last week) - After a 42 to 3 halftime lead, the Lions coasted to a 67 to 10 stomping of weak ass Culver-Stockton last weekend. They remain the #3 ranked team in NAIA football, though I'm sure that bullshit is as chock full of politics and drama as any other college football poll.

#4: MONMOUTH FIGHTING SCOTS (7-0, 39.571 avg. margin of victory, #3 last week) - Monmouth should've run up the score on Ripon more than the 35 to 13 victory it achieved if it wanted to hold down a top three spot in my bullshit blog's decrepit little list inside a neglected corner of the internet. They did jump into the NCAA Division III Top 10, at #9, as a result of their big road win though. Props to you, Fighting Scots of small town Illinois.

#5: WISCONSIN-WHITEWATER WARHAWKS (6-0, 36.500 avg. margin of victory, #6 last week) - And then there is Division III's #2 ranked team, who continued their romp through the Wisconsin University small college system by bucking up UW-Stout at some place called Menomonie, which I think became a skit on The Muppet Show at one point, 38 to 3, last weekend, maintaining their elevated status as the cream of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference crop. Next up is UW-River Falls at home, and notable about this game is, as I have gleaned most of the helmet images off of the amazingly remarkable Helmet Project website, and have looked through most of it, the UW-River Falls Falcons have one of the pimpest current helmets in college football.

#6: WITTENBERG TIGERS (6-0, 33.667 avg. margin of victory, #4 last week) - Mighty little Wittenberg used a last second field goal to eke out a win on the road against the Little Giants of Wabash College last week (who were ranked #7 in this very listing before the game), and I'm sure could give half a fuck less they dropped in the very arbitrary margin of victory tiebreaker, as they won their toughest regular season game of the year. But they probably should've went for the touchdown, like men.

#7: ST. XAVIER COUGARS (8-0, 33.375 avg. margin of victory, #9 last week) - NAIA's #8 ranked Cougars from somewhere in Illinois stomped on some other obscure school 66 to 31, including a 42 point first quarter beatdown. That's ridiculous. I can't wait for the NAIA playoffs for these little assed teams to start eating each other like football Battle Royale.

#8: WESLEY WOLVERINES (6-0, 31.667 avg. margin of victory, #13 last week) - You would expect if a team on the Worst Teams list from last week was hosting a team from last week's Best Teams list, that you might get a 49 to 0 waste of a cold Virginia afternoon. Well, that's exactly what you got in Newport News last weekend, apparently, and Wesley climbs five spots in the football bully poll.

#9: ST. FRANCIS COUGARS (6-0, 31.000 avg. margin of victory, unranked last week) - Jumping into the bully poll is the NAIA's University of Saint Francis Cougars, who had Bishop D'Arcy Stadium in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, rocking last week, as they whomped up on some Trinity International ass (I think that's an amateur porn flick about Latina midgets), 63 to 7. The NAIA - Home to Motherfuckers Getting Their Asses Whooped.

#10: NORTH ALABAMA LIONS (8-0, 29.250 avg. margin of victory, #12 last week) - North Alabama beat state rival Delta State last weekend, 34 to 24, and was rewarded with their first ever #1 ranking in NCAA Division II football. The weird thing is, you know who coaches North Alabama? Terry Bowden. I had wondered what happened to that guy. Too bad his dad is screwing up the foundation he set in Florida State so badly that a Bowden, who would've been accepted with open arms not so long ago, wouldn't be invited for a second interview, at least not till Jimbo Wright screws it up officially for a few years. How the hell do you hire a guy called Jimbo in 2009 anyways?

#11: CASE WESTERN RESERVE SPARTANS (6-0, 28.667 avg. margin of victory, unranked last week) - NCAA Division III top ten powerhouse enters the bully poll after beating Ohio Wesleyan 55 to 7. Case Western Reserve plays in a four-team conference, and with only four weeks of regular season football left, won't even have a conference game until two weeks from now. That's wacky, ain't it?

#12: FLORIDA GATORS (6-0, 27.667 avg. margin of victory, #10 last week) - Took a little swamp voodoo on the foot of the Arkansas Razorback kicker to get 'r done, but Florida is still undefeated, and allows for a small representation of Division I household-known football presence in my goofy little thing. I think it would be great if Tim Tebow got concussed, his memory was gone for three days, it came back, and he went on a big "I am Jesus" freak out because of all that. At the same time, as a proud homeschooler, I cannot wish ill, even weak comedic attempt type ill, on the first homeschooled Heisman Trophy homeboy. Usually we just win spelling bees and shit.

#13: TEXAS LONGHORNS (6-0, 27.333 avg. margin of victory, #11 last week) - Texas also survived a marquee match-up against football players people actually know the name of, and dropped two notches in this completely unimportant list, but maintained a foothold here, meaning some random asshole in Texas is gonna google search Texas Longhorns football and end up looking at this right here, which will make me feel more comfortable when looking at my keyword stats than some of the perverted ass shit people be looking up inside the internets. It is disturbing to realize how the internet search engines artificial intelligence thinks someone wanting to watch "midget latina amateur double penetrations" should look at my blog.

#14: LAMBUTH EAGLES (7-0, 26.857 avg. margin of victory, unranked last week) - Hey look, it's yet another NAIA team in this thing! Lambuth pitched their first shutout of the year last week, down at some school named Faulkner in Alabama, 59 to 0. I'm sure the bus ride back to Jackson, Tennessee, was pleasurable, and I bet Coach even bought a bunch of two-for-a-dollar apple pies at Mickey D’s.
Gone From This List From Last Week: Wabash Little Giants (lost to Wittenberg, 10 to 7), Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders (lost to Mississippi College, 17 to 14), and St. Thomas Tommies (lost an epic one to the St. John’s Johnnies, 20 to 17).

Redskins 2-3 Positives/Negatives Metasciences Recap

(This is taken from the stupendously tremendous Armchair Linebacker NFL blog.)

(This is the little old lady Dan Snyder was suing for $72,000.)
I take all of this shit seriously - the Redskins fanning, and this dork blogging over my fanning of said team. I am a diehard, with both my opinions for you and my Redskins, who I may joke about going free agent on, but when I die, bury me in my customized #72 CONMACK XXXL jersey that looks like a nightgown that my dear mama boughted me a number of years back, and bury me within 48 hours of death so that I can legally be buried on my own property, down in the field underneath the red maple tree where my goats are all buried as well as my more favorite all-star chickens will be buried as well. Let our bones commingle and be reanimated by a confused mad scientist who creates a rural southern techno-savvy ill-witted rooster goat man that doesn’t cause ill will on the world so much as perform strange linquistically questionable raps during Def Poetry Slams.
But I take notes during the Redskins games, to try and get a good gauge of who I’m gonna respect knuckle and who I’m gonna make little mental window stickers of Calvin peeing on their jersey number of. But I try to wait a couple days, to get the post-game follow-up and Monday media barrage, which is becoming more and more enjoyable with each week of the Redskins descent into franchise chaos. This week was no exception. The Redskins are loaded with internet-savvy fans and sports radio dorks, and Dan Snyder has manipulated this well, owning DC talk radio pretty much, as well as pulling mad strings at the Washington Post to get favorable love, and to see the ground swell of anti-Snyder sentiment start to reveal itself in the past three weeks, even within those Snyder-controlled domains, it is pretty cool. There are those within internet nerd fan worlds calling it “The Revolution,” as if rooting for a stupid football team had anything to do with anything important in an overall sense at all. It’s just some shit we attach ourselves emotionally to far too much. And in that spirit, here is my fan-based meta-scientifical, semi-psychic, over-analysis of the Washington Redskins after five regular season weeks of their very regular year...
2ND DEGREE POSITIVE - CARLOS ROGERS. After the game, in no way, shape or form would Carlos Rogers have achieved any positive commentary from me, as he yet again dropped an easy interception, and continued to prove himself a very adept, middle-of-the-pack #2 corner making shutdown cornerback money, at least at the time his contract was signed. What set him on a high personal pedestal was the post-game fall-out, where Carlos, as everybody on the team was saying it was this or that, Carlos said it was everything, but that everything starts with the owner, so that ultimately it all starts there. To hear a player blame the owner, in a situation where the owner needs blaming, it shows Rogers has far more heart than I ever thought. I’m sure he has been called up to the Office and talked out of what he knows in his heart to be true already by the guy that stamps his signature on the paychecks (because rich dudes like Dan Snyder don’t actually sign things, they have rubber stamps with their signature and use special ink made from the blood of their enemies darkened with crushed elderberry juice). But mad fucking props to Carlos Rogers for saying the obvious, from inside the belly of the beast.
1ST DEGREE POSITIVE - LONDON FLETCHER. #59 is all man, and the one solid dude on this team that even as things fall apart like Chinua Achebe wrote the playbook, London Fletcher holds tough. He’s the best thing that’s happened in free agency under Dan Snyder’s ownership, and I would imagine because of that, he won’t end up here in the end. He’ll probably finish his career field generalisimo-ing the Saints the next two or three years, and winning another ring to join the one already on his very underappreciated NFL resume. Fuck finally making a Pro Bowl, London Fletcher should be in the Hall of Fame.
EVEN - BRIAN ORAKPO. You know, Carlos Rogers’ owner-directed tirade sort of shook up the top half of my list, and honestly, either Brian Orakpo or Andre Carter could’ve gotten props at this spot. Both of them are showing fire in recent weeks, and it’s not just the overinflated value of Albert Haynesworth, because Carter’s getting sacks while Haynesworth is one-kneeing his fat body by the oxygen machine on the sideline normally. But Orakpo shows signs of being the hybrid defensive monster post-draft local newspaper hype suggested he might be. He blows coverages sometimes, and shows signs of being a rookie, but he also blasts past very respectable O-linemen at times and has the potential to crumble QBs into dust.
1ST DEGREE NEGATIVE - FRED DAVIS. So after Chris Samuels was injured out of the game early on this past Sunday, my man Chris Cooley was held up at the line, helping out with blocking schemes. This meant Fred Davis, the guy who overslept the first day of his NFL training camp career last year, finally got a chance to prove his alleged ability, which in preseason, meant good catches followed by reckless runs that resulted in fumbles. Well, that pattern held true, and after some highlight reel helicopter flips from body-on-body violence with the Panthers defense, he coughed the ball up yet again. Go back to sleep Fred.
(Being I’m not gonna talk about him separately, I’d like to address Chris Samuels briefly. His injury has brought to light the fact the dude has been playing the past three years with spinal stenosis, which is why he has Craftmatic beds for a neck brace coming out his jersey, and probably has shaved a good decade or two off his healthy adult life by doing so. What the fuck? I mean, I knew I thought dude looked stupid, like a fetal alcohol syndrome black caveman, but damn man, he really is that stupid. And for what? It’s not like he’s playing for the Steelers or Colts or Giants where his personal sacrifice might result in team glory. He plays, and basically commits suicide, for the fucking Washington Redskins. Dude, don’t kill yourself for Dan Snyder. And my bad for bitching about all your false starts. I’d probably try to get an extra half second jump on the defense too if I were a walking paraplegic.)
2ND DEGREE NEGATIVE - MIKE SELLERS. Our Pro Bowl backfield of Clinton Portis and Mike Sellers were having words last week in the locker room because Portis went to the coaches about how shitty Sellers’ blocking had been this year, and Sellers took it to Portis for snitching on him like that. It was Portis who helped lobby for Mike Sellers to get a new deal this year, to get him paid like no fullback normally gets paid, so I can’t fault Portis for holding Sellers accountable. But what was worse was watching the Fox coverage of the game last week and the commentators going back through bad goal line plays of recent weeks and this week too where Sellers didn’t do shit as a lead blocker coming out the backfield. You’d be like, “Why is Portis running sideways on a run from the 2 yard line when he could get safetied?” like he did against the Panthers, and they’d show the replay and you’d see Mike Sellers, as lead blocker, running sideways AND NOT EVEN TOUCHING PEOPLE FROM THE OTHER TEAM! What the fuck? Mike Sellers has seemed like an upfront, potential professional wrestling type dude who makes for good fan talk, because he’s the kind of guy you want to have on your team. But I guess Dan Snyder’s money softens everybody.
3RD DEGREE NEGATIVE - DEANGELO HALL. Okay, I see the MeAngelo talk now. Sure, DeAngelo gets an interception a game, usually with a strong runback (though he’s taken none “to the house” this year, like he’s been bragging he needs to do, which he does, a couple times a game for this team to score enough to win a game); but he also plays soft man-to-man coverage that gives up a ton of first downs on third downs. But most negatively, at the end of the game, when the Skins needed a stop on third down to get the ball back for a chance to let me down on one last drive, everybody is covered, so Jake Delhomme’s crippled, fumbling, bumbling ass takes off, a good 12 yards from the first down marker. DeAngelo Hall has him in his sights, a good five yards short, and Delhomme drags DeAngelo to the first down marker like he’s Jerome Bettis and not stupid fucking half-retarded Jake Delhomme. DeAngelo Hall could’ve had 9 interceptions in this game, and to end with a piss poor punter-esque tackling display like that, allowing the Panthers to go into kneel-down mode, you’d be on my shit list.
4TH DEGREE NEGATIVE - ALBERT HAYNESWORTH. You know, this guy isn’t that bad in the one out of three plays he actually plays, but he has no fucking fire. Dude meanders on and off the field, lolligags from the locker room, and just generally looks like playing a football game is a giant pain in the ass for him. Now I know dude is going through some court-related bullshit with his soon-to-be ex-wife, but goddamn, he looks lazy as fuck. Like, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lazier pro football player in my life. And I guess the rap was in Tennessee he was lazy as fuck every year except last year, when playing for a new contract. Well, kudos to Dan Snyder for signing this guy to a 19-year contract so that he can lolligag his way to the bank with a wheelbarrow full of leather satchels with dollar signs on the side for the next decade of my life.
5TH DEGREE NEGATIVE - JIM ZORN. I could talk shit about Jason Campbell again, but at this point, complaining about Campbell is like being mad at your girlfriend who doesn’t like to do it doggy style because she was molested by her uncle as a kid and refuses to engage in sex in any way she can’t see your face because it dredges up harsh memories. Campbell is damaged goods. He’s had too many coaches, too many shitty lines in front of him, too much questioning from his bosses, and not even out-in-the-open questioning but secretive media rumors questioning, on some bitch shit. Hopefully for Campbell, he has learned well from Todd Collins, career back-up, and he can salvage another nice decade of career clipboard holding in the NFL, and make a solid mill a year as the type of guy who comes in when the star QB is injured, and doesn’t completely fuck shit up, which is Campbell’s wheelhouse.
But as for Zorny, I feel bad for the guy, getting throwin to the wolves as he was by Snyder and Cerrato, but the fact of the matter is a lot of the Redskins problems are coaching-related, not that he has a whole lot to work with. But too many times during a game, you see Campbell looking to the sideline with his hands out, like “Hurry the fuck up and call a play.” Too many times the Redskins are out of time outs with 9 minutes left in the half. Too many times they run retarded shit like an off tackle run from their own 2 yard line that results in a safety. Zorny is not head coaching material. He is, however, a great guy for press conferences, and it’s too bad those Coors Light commercials are corny and not very creative, because Zorny would make for a great couple of them. That dude is always saying retarded shit or acting bug-eyed and crazy, but real mellow. Ultimately, that’s the problem, his whole “stay medium” attitude. This is a team of soft-ass millionaires with an over-inflated sense of how much better they are than the rest of the NFL. They need somebody to motivate them, fire them up, maybe even beat their ass with a whiffle bat with some thumbtacks reverse duct-taped to it every other Thursday. They don’t need some second-rate pseudo-Phil Jackson football dude.
6TH DEGREE NEGATIVE - VINNY CERRATO. You know, it’s too easy to just put Dan Snyder at the bottom every week, and that leaves GM Vinny Cerrato without getting his proper due as a piece of shit accomplice in running this franchise into shit. I understand that Snyder makes the decisions and Cerrato is a yes man who allows the owner the ability to separate himself from actually getting blamed for shit, but still. Cerrato has done nothing in his time here, nothing. You know, I don’t even want to talk about it. Fuck him and fuck Dan Snyder. Fuck them both. Let them fire Zorny and have their little Potomac River mansion sleepovers with potential coaches and ask him all sorts of stupid questions over hot cocoa all night long, like they fucking even know a fucking thing about anything other than jacking up parking prices. Fuck both of those guys, and until neither of them has their piece of shit goddamned names on any piece of stationary or business card related to the Washington Redskins franchise, I am doomed to be a sad sad fan of a team that will not live up to even the most meager of expectations. It sucks, and the unnecessary Sunday afternoon frustrations shave years off my life. So fuck you Vinny Cerrato and Dan Snyder, you are even ruining the future for my children, because after the last decade, I’m more apt to be a babbling, ulcer-ridden, elderly dependent at the age of 50-something, clogging up my offsprings’ best years with having to take care of my uninsured and dirty ass, and scaring the fuck out of my own grandchildren, who will associate it all with Redskins. Thus, you are losing a future generation of Redskins fans. Hell, the only one of my kids who doesn’t hate the Redskins at this point is the 20-month old who is too young to know the pain your games bring to our household on a weekly basis, and she runs around going “YAY EDSKIN!” every time she sees anything related to football, but trust me, she’s gonna learn fast enough to quit that nonsense.
ACCUMULATED INFLUENCES UPON THIS FRANCHISE 2009, BEST TO WORST (ties broken by my personal opinion): TE Chris Cooley (+7), MLB London Fletcher (+6), DC Greg Blache (+3), SS Chris Horton (+2), SS Reed Doughty (+1), P Hunter Smith (+1), DE/LB Brian Orakpo (even), DE Jeremy Jarmon (even), CB Carlos Rogers (even), WR/PR Antwan Randle El (even), HB Clinton Portis (-1), TE Fred Davis (-1), FS Laron Landry (-2), FB Mike Sellers (-2), DT Albert Haynesworth (-3), LB Robert Henson (-3), WR/PR Santana Moss (-5), CB DeAngelo Hall (-6), GM Vinny Cerrato (-6), WR Devin Thomas (-7), QB Jason Campbell (-8), Coach Jim Zorn (-19), Owner Dan Snyder (-20).

Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale

AFFORDABILITY: Sierra Nevada is always affordable when you’re a suck-ass white person. (Actually, I’ve never seen a black person drink Sierra Nevada, not even one of those Dave Matttthews Band fan black people.) I am, about half the time, a suck-ass white person. But when you are half-assed, high-end shit seems all the way fuck-this-bullshit. 1 out of 5.
DESTROYABILITY: Sierra Nevada of any flavor is a beer that goes into my body with such an unmistakeably strange taste - very hoppy to get all beer nerd dorkrod on you - that I am unsure if I am getting super destroyed by its contents because all I can think of is my mouth feels like I washed it out with traces of dirt, like eating shrooms, but to a lesser extent. Perhaps this is why hippie types embrace Sierra Nevada so enthusiastically. Personally, I would prefer to just eat some shrooms, and maybe pack four or five tall cans of Schlitz or PBR and a single-serving bottle of Campbell’s tomato juice. When you open each tall can, you take a heavy swig and fill the missing part with tomato juice, and then sip it down at your leisure. If you’re wearing a regular pair of solidly made cargo pants (none of that Old Navy bullshit, which doesn’t hold together on a real man), you can pack three extra tall cans and the tomato juice, one in each pocket, and wander through the woods feeling the psilocybin high twerk through your system. Sierra Nevada is just clunky and dirty tasting, more apt for the posing and posturing of a parking lot scene outside of some doodleriffic concert event than getting your for-real soul searching internal combustion high on. 1 out of 5.
LABEL AESTHETIC: Sierra Nevada labels are always similarly uninspiring. This one has some sort of brewing apparatus, plus some strange ledger book bullshit going on subliminally in the background dark green. Plus the yellow gilded Sierra Nevada scroll that rolls in nine different directions. I am not down, though props for such an effort. 2 out of 5.
CORPORATE MASTER: Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is its own entity, for sure. I’m sure, judging by its fanbase, it contributes to Darfurian refugees and homeless awareness and vampire rights and all that good stuff. I don’t support political causes of any type though, so when a company becomes big enough to force its own personal style of self-righteousness on others, that bothers me. Just make beer, assholes. 2 out of 5.
OVERALL AMBIANCE: I am no longer 22 years old trying to have mad sex with a hippie chick on my 2x4 homemade loft resting on milk crates turned sideways to tuck Taoist books inside of like a bookcase, so Sierra Nevada of any flavor is not necessarily my domain. Sierra Nevada of all flavors also conjures up thoughts of housewives holding onto their looser-spirited youth, but confined in a dog kennel of a suburban house, doing some Martha Stewart ass shit to their walls or an old cabinet they got at an antique store, pretending that that’s a creative infusion into their dreary lives. It makes me sad. Why must we deny ourselves happiness? And then why must we buy into something that reminds me of a previous happiness, which is probably a romanticized memory, but nonetheless we buy into it and pretend we are still happy, for that moment we consume the product attached to our psychological clusterfuck? 0 out of 5.

NFL WEEK 6: NFC South & West teams

We enter our second quarter of the pro football regular season, and through this quarterly cycle, I'll roll through two divisions at a time from the same conference, connected geographically, from worst to first. At this point in the season, by record alone, the NFC South and West divisions are at the bottom of the NFL heap, but the AFC South and West does not trail it by much at all. In fact, I had to bust out a calculator to do collective winning percentage just to make sure. But at this point, mathematically speaking, the NFC South and West holds down the bottom of the NFL's socio-economic ladder. So let us visit these eight teams, and see where they stand at this point in their season, as if I be knowing shit...

#1: NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (4-0, 1st overall) - Yes, according to my ultra-scientific, semi-half assed methods, the New Orleans Saints, at least at this point, are the best team in the NFL. Interestingly enough, according to this half-assed personalized punter formula-esque method, the Giants are #2 in the league, making this weekend's showdown between the two in The Big Easy the first time I recollect my dork formula's #1 and #2 playing each other, even in the playoffs. Of course, I have drunk and ingested a lot of things in my lifetime that kill of brain cells like a Brazilian kid who wishes he had a Ramones t-shirt but can't afford things like actual things, so you can't truss it. Nonetheless, the Saints look tough this year, because Gregg Williams (the extra G stands for Guerrilla-blitzes) has their defense believing they are the shit. And there’s no doubting the offense, with Drew Brees acting like a Madden game set on rookie mode, picking betwixt the nine different offensive threats they’ve somehow created. Seriously, they have a star WR named Marques and a star RB named Pierre. Reggie Bush not being the second coming of Barry Sanders has easily been overlooked with such spread-out success, and even Jeremy Shockey’s miserable ass seems happy, which probably alone should make Sean Payton a coach of the year candidate. The Saints are one of the most fun teams to watch as well, and with a remaining road schedule that includes three of their last six travel games at Tampa Bay, St. Louis, and Washington, if the Saints can hold down their home fort (in memory of the fallen underclass of Hurricane Katrina who died in the Superdome bathrooms and haunt the opposing team’s locker room), they could make a pretty serious run at a solid 14-2 season or so and get home field advantage for the NFC playoffs which, unfortunately, would probably mean an abundance of shitty football-related Lil Wayne songs inside of the internet all of a sudden.

#2: ATLANTA FALCONS (3-1, 9th overall) - The Falcons seem like, if they are tuned up properly, they could be an elite team. The way they fucking punked a Mike Singletary 49ers team in San Francisco was impressive. But they are a young team, and will be apt to have misfires along the way. Still, not to sound like an internet tool or anything, if I had the money to blow on an NFL authentic jersey of the stitched numbers variety, as I am ashamed of my Redskins right now, I’d probably want a Falcons alternate red Matt Ryan jersey. Who am I kidding? I’d get a custom one that said WHITE SHOES for Billy “White Shoes” Johnson. That dude’s wobbly-leg TD celebration bouncing side to side is still the greatest end zone shit ever. Back in his day, he didn’t need props or skits like these young bucks today.

#3: SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (3-2, 15th overall) - Oh man, a bye week after a fucking beatdown at home, with Type-A-squared personality Mike Singletary as your head coach. I’d hate to be a San Francisco 49er right now. I bet he’s making his players bring in their kids to run wind sprints up the concrete stairs at the practice field and got Charles Haley coming in to sexually assault their wives right now, to motivate them.

#4: CAROLINA PANTHERS (1-3, 18th overall) - I don’t think the Panthers are as shitty as their record suggests, as they’ve lost to the Falcons, Eagles, and questionable Cowboys, but just barely, thus far. And with Tampa Bay and Buffalo on the agenda the next two weeks, so long as Jake Delhomme doesn’t get another severe case of the turnovers, they could easily be sitting at .500 come November.

#5: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (2-3, 19th overall) - It’s amazing what a sucker I am, because the Seahawks have always been one of my least favorite teams for no other reason than their ugly ass uniforms. But then they spring those lime green numbers out a couple of weeks ago, which were universally panned as ugly, even though, in my eyes, that was the pimpest shit the NFL had sported in a long ass minute, until this past weekend when the Broncos sported those throwbacks with the vertically striped socks. Of course, everybody’s like, “Eww” again, because people who like to talk about uniforms are jackasses and only like what everybody else acts like they should like. It’s like the emperor’s new clothes. Those Broncos unis were tight as fuck, and as someone who’s been watching a lot more Australian Rules Football on the digital PBS bonus channels this year, I can only hope more NFL teams move to the overload of stripes instead of this new school Eurotrash Pride swishy contour style they’ve been doing. So if I had money to waste, instead of the White Shoes jersey, I’d get a lime green Houshmanzadeh joint.

#6: ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-2, 20th overall) - As respectable and loveable as Larry Fitzgerald is, his goodness is overruled a thousand times over by Kurt Warner’s inherent jackassery, so the Cardinals cannot be mediocre enough for my tastes. Were he to get injured and Matt Leinart took over, I’d go back to basically rooting for the Cardinals, in as much as looking at the scores online on a Sunday night and thinking, “Oh man, too bad the Cardinals didn’t win,” could be considered rooting for someone.

#7: TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (0-5, 28th overall) - Man, Jon Gruden trashed the ship on his way out, didn’t he? He has shown he is adept at taking a team quickly to good heights, having his schtick run it’s course, and bailing out a year or two (in the case of the Raiders) before everything comes apart at the seams. The Buccaneers are not a very good team, at all, anywhere. And you have to feel for Josh Johnson (he’s their starting quarterback, in case you, like most people, have no idea who that is), because basically the head coach, who is 22-years-old, said, “Well, Byron Leftwich isn’t really that good, so he’s our last QB now. And this team sucks, so I’m not gonna ruin our rookie wonderboy Josh Freeman by having him be sacked 83 times before next summer’s training camp. So Josh Johnson is our man, by default. Good luck kid.”

#8: ST. LOUIS RAMS (0-5, 32nd overall) - I can’t believe people actually believe this Rush Limbaugh buying the Rams bullshit. What a cheap way to garner mainstream attention, in avenues he doesn’t normally get play. Hey, guess what? I’m part of an ownership team trying to buy the Redskins, so tell everybody you know about Rojonekku. Our website is www.buyoutsnyder.com and I have as much a chance as Limbaugh does. How could a man who has written the cruel and uncaring things like I have ever be allowed to own a professional football team where dudes concuss themselves to early Alzheimers? What has this world come to?

Heineken

AFFORDABILITY: Heineken is not the cheapest beer, but it is not the most expensive either. It seems to position itself as the ultimate beer for a new money type individual, or as a cheap beer for rich folks, a sort of Budweiser for the bourgeoisie. I bought a stub can of it, so I didn’t have to cash out an IRA or anything to get one (hahaha, like I even have shit like that), but I could’ve just as easily gotten a tallboy Modelo Especial instead. 2 out of 5.
DESTROYABILITY: The Heineken's destroyability has always been an issue with me. It has, as I said, always perpetrated it's fanciful nature, yet I've never really felt it. I know white people who only drink that shit, and honestly, when Jay-Z did the endorsement for Heineken, I was like, "Hahaha, Jigga so white." For a while in my life, I didn't even like beer in green bottles because of Heineken's white assness. (I should clarify, yes I am white, and proud of my melanin - an ethnicity of wage slave laborer who built skyscrapers and die for papers featuring pictures of bossmen that cost them the best years of their life. When I use white derogatorily, it is similar to a dark-skinned girl - better than light-skin, naturally - calling someone else with dark-skin an "Uncle Tom" type, like that dude on Geraldo that threw the chair at the singer from The Cro-Mags.) Yuengling got me back on that green bottle shit, and Beck's helped with the battle, so much so that their two-pronged drinking public relations with my personal habits and consumer tendencies opened up the possibility of me buying a Heineken. And again, it tasted skunky, which maybe is its deal since Germans love scat porn, and the big can did not give me a big can greasy throught stream. 1 out of 5.
LABEL AESTHETIC: There is not much there, simple green and white pomp and circumstance, and I am in a hater mood tonight. The only thing I could remotely think great about Heineken at this point is I guess some people shorten it to Heiney because they are retarded, and there's that "Ex Girl to the Next Girl" song by Gang Starr where Guru says, "even tempt me with the hiney", in reference to his old girl's big ass. But that doesn't relate to the Heineken label, which would make a great soccer jersey, and probably is somewhere, where people spend denominations of money that end in vowels, and women don't have to wear the top half of their bathing suits at public beaches, and you're not supposed to get a hard dick from it. 1 out of 5.
CORPORATE MASTER: Heineken’s corporate master is themselves, masters of the Mediterranean white slave trade, secretly funneled through the Middle East to make it seem like brown people are behind the dastardliness. Heineken is one of the most openly evil corporations in the world, supporting scat pornography, the systematis abuse of kidnapped Russian women, and forcing Jay-Z albums on us to this day, as well as Kanye West and now manipulating the media to convince people Drake is good, since they realized Charles Hamilton would probably Kobain himself before they could get a good recoup on the initial investment. 2 out of 5.
OVERALL AMBIANCE: Look, I will not lie. I think very little of Heineken or Heineken drinkers. As a youth, my folks’ friends who drank it were the most pretentious people they rolled with. And as my own adult, that experiential stereotype has been nothing but solidified. If you drink Heineken and think I’m an asshole, props to you, do what makes you feel good. But also I would expect nothing more than for you to judge me as a lesser human, being you drink Heineken. 1 out of 5.

S14: Worst College Football Teams

On the opposite side of the undefeated is these sad sack teams - the worst college football teams of this year's young season thus far, requirements being no wins, and then highest average margin of defeat breaking the ties. I live near the University of Virginia, and the hatred of Al Groh is high, even though he is Norv Turner-like in his ability to do just enough year after year to not get fired. But could you imagine being a backer of one of these teams? Granted, most all of them are small colleges, but it's got to be depressing. How do you even get kids to come play at these schools? Well, here's your list...

#1: TEXAS COLLEGE STEERS (0-6, 55.500 avg. margin of defeat) - Though the NAIA-affiliated Texas College football team has had a terrible start to their football season - including a 92 to 0 loss at Stephen F. Austin - they had a great showing this past weekend, only losing 35 to 32 on the road to Bacone. Things can only get better from here.

#2: ROCKFORD REGENTS (0-5, 42.200 avg. margin of defeat) - It is a shame to my dear mother, who was born in Rockford, Illinois, that the Rockford College Regents football team is so damned bad. They are consistent though, getting beaten consistently by around 40 points, rather than mixing in super blowouts with close games. Props to them.

#3: BECKER HAWKS (0-6, 39.167 avg. margin of defeat) - Man, looking at Becker College's (of Leicester, Massachusetts) results are rough to digest. They lost a game 42 to 2, and you have to assume the safety was like a pity safety to make for an easier punt at some point during the game. Becker, you would think, is the worst team in the NCAA Division III Eastern Collegiate Football Conference.

#4: ANNA MARIA AMCATS (0-6, 38.667 avg. margin of defeat) - Well, you would think that, except Anna Maria College are playing their first year of football ever, and are also in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference. Sadly, they do not have Becker College scheduled this year. They do get to play Castleton State, also in its first season of football, whom they played once already to start the year, losing a respectable a 42 to 28 affair. In a few weeks, they'll get a second shot against Castleton's virgin team, as well as a game against Gallaudet's Fighting Deaf Bison football team, historically one of the worst in NCAA Division III.

#5: HIRAM COLLEGE TERRIERS (0-5, 38.200 avg. margin of defeat) - They are in the same Division III conference as the undefeated teams from Wittenberg and Wabash, and they've only already played Wittenberg (in a thrilling 70 to 7 loss), so their schedule will not get easy later on. I was roommates with a dude who was playing linebacker for Hampden-Sydney College, another Division III football team, a year they went 0-10. It was painful for the guy, and now HSC is undefeated and semi-respectable again, but that 0-10 year is like a historical marker for their team history. Everyone knows about it, and my old roommate has to live with that shame for the rest of his life. I feel for the guy, as well as all the guys like him struggling in shitbag teams like Hiram College.

#6: LAWRENCE VIKINGS (0-5, 37.400 avg. margin of defeat) - Here is the margin of defeat in Lawrence College's games this year, from first to most recent: 53 point loss to Monmouth, 42 point loss to St. Norbert, 42 point loss to Grinnell, 16 point loss to Illinois College, 14 point loss to Lake Forest this past weekend. As you can see, they are slowly angling their way towards busting up that goose egg in their W column.

#7: NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS COWBOYS (0-7, 37.286 avg. margin of defeat) - The Highlands high rollers from Las Vegas, New Mexico, wherever the fuck that is, are, thus far, the worst team in NCAA Division II football, and the 98-pound weaklings of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

#8: NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (0-5, 37.200 avg. margin of defeat) - My home state finally represents! And they've only got four games left. I'm not even sure what the fuck a Newport News Apprentice School is, but I think it has to do with shipbuilding. Seriously. A school dedicated to building ships having a football team is a harsh reality for whoever has to coach that team.

#9: DANA VIKINGS (0-6, 36.667 avg. margin of defeat) - Dana College shares NAIA conference affiliation with two of the undefeated juggernauts from yesterday's list - Morningside and Sioux Falls, but luckily have already been fucked up by both those teams. This week they play a team called Peru State. It's too bad small college jerseys are so crude because I'd pimp a Peru State jersey like a motherfucker.

#10: SOUTHERN VIRGINIA KNIGHTS (0-6, 34.833 avg. margin of defeat) - An NAIA team that is only like an hour from my home and has existed for seven years, yet I've never heard of it at all. Seems odd. The big showdown is, if both teams can maintain their relentless pursuit of imperfection, Southern Virginia will close out the season with a road game against Newport News Apprentice School on November 14. If they are both still winless, I may even go to that game, just because.

#11: MARANATHA BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE CRUSADERS (0-5, 34.400 avg. margin of defeat) - They have not scored more than 12 in a game, and not been closer than a 25-point loss to St. Scholastica, 33 to 8 in week two of their season. But, if things hold their pattern, on November 7th, in Watertown, Wisconsin, the Crusaders will host the Regents of Rockford, in a game where someone who believes in Christ will have to win.

#12: IDAHO STATE BENGALS (0-6, 34.167 avg. margin of defeat) - NCAA Division I football is broken up into the big-time teams and Football Champsionship Sub-division smaller teams, who actually have a playoff system, but usually also do the job to the bigger bowl-bound teams to start out the season. This means almost no actual Division I NCAA team is without a win after the first three weeks of the season, and that there are a slew of FCS I-AA teams that get crushed on the regular, for big bucks. Idaho State is actually at this point the worst team of that motley assortment. They cashed checks for crushing destructions against Arizona State (50 to 3) and Oklahoma (64 to 0), but have now moved onto losing to the directional schools of their home Big Sky Conference.

#13: KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN KNIGHTS (0-6, 33.333 avg. margin of defeat) - It is obvious that, Tim Tebow aside, Jesus freaks cannot play football. The Kentucky Christian University Knights are an NAIA school, snake handlers, and believers of a God that doesn't recognize Obama's birth certificate since it's from Hawaii which has not been blessed by the Lord's favor yet.

#14: SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE BULLDOGS (0-7, 33.286 avg. margin of defeat) - Well, to be fair, the Division II football team from Southwestern Oklahoma State University went on the road last week, to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and only lost to Northeastern State University 13 to 6. After games against Central Oklahoma University in Edmond and then back home to Weatherford to host East Central University, they'll get their best shot for a win against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies at home. Man, there's a ton of obscure bullshit football in Oklahoma.
