(7s) Magazine Subscriptions Wanted #2 - Fader

Fader is a hipster glossy magazine that often times spotlights things that are stupid to me. But I am also nearly 37 years old, so I'm pretty much out of touch with anything hip at all, so I can thumb through a Fader and pretend I'm still pushing my finger into the pulse of the non-mainstream pop culture. Of course, Fader always has pictorials of something like glue addicted Navajo children dressed in new fashion clothes for ten pages, all in black and white, so you can always wrap presents for people with the pages. Or buy some dollar store frames and put the pictures inside with a typed up rap lyric couplet using a graffiti font easily found inside the internets outside the picture under the glass. That's the type of gift that all your fucking stupid hipster dumbass friends would love. It's worked for me many times over. I used to do that with a line from a zine I had that said "Be A Indian, Not An Slave" which was funny to me because the shit didn't agree grammatically on purpose. I have a degree in English, so I feel I've learned enough about it to fuck with grammar in situations where I don't agree with the rules. That wasn't one of them; I just thought it funny to switch them. The meaning was slaves became slaves because they actually worked when whipped and beaten. The Indians just refused until death and couldn't even be beaten into submission. You would expect there'd be better Native rap music from this, but oddly that hasn't come to fruition yet.
